A sobering reminder of nature's power of devastation.

What is interesting here is that over 80 years later the stump still exists - we had a stump in our back ward that weathered away in about 15 years. The trees are taller out West...the shadows are all around the stump, and a testament to how rugged nature can be...

A tree stump with lots of rugged character! So sad that it represents a tragedy! But it still has an endearing beauty!

Great shadow shot and a frightening reminder of just how destructive fires are! Terrific capture, Kathe! Hope your weekend is going well!
