Word #362

Redneck
You know your husband has becme a redneck
when he uses a can of red spray paint to
mark your street numbers on a pile of plowed snow.
( In all fairness to Russell, this was pretty darned
clever when the big snow plow covered the original numbers
and we were expecting an important Fed Ex delivery..
our new toilet for the new bathroom! !)

Finally we can use our driveway to get out!

Word #359

Accumulation

Over a few days we managed to get 25 inches of
snow on our hill! Yesterday there was a blizzard
warning for most of the day. But then the snow stopped
and the sun came out and the snow began to melt and
fall off of the trees. Today looks like it will be sunny! Yay!
We need to clear our 2/10ths of a mile driveway so we can get OUT!

Needless to say- the sunshine is very welcome!

Mysterious
What is making this shadow on
Grandmother's cactus plant?

Aha- Grandmother's cruet holder.
They aren't used as much now as in the past.

Word #352 and 353

Biped and quadruped
Me shoveling off our long driveway
coming across squirrel tracks.
Russell and I took a walk down the power line
to see if we could find other tracks- only deer.
I think the bears are snoozing at the moment.

Stalking?
Seeing as to how snow filled the fox prints are
versus the gray squirrel prints- I doubt the
fox was after this particular squirrel....

Mourn
My heart breaks for innocence lost.

Dark days are ahead until we take responsibility
for raising our children in a safer and saner world.
That is the ultimate gift .

Words #347 and 348

Instructions
Our contractor would always leave important notes to self
right on the framing etc....

Results
And the results were that most things were
done correctly the first time....
He had a rather large memo pad.
This is our almost finished Art Hall leading
to our master bedroom and bath.
The sliding door was made by a friend who
framed the African piece we had found in Portland.

Word #346

Traditions
Our little trees usually come out right after
Thanksgiving. This year they are a little late
as I had to unpack them from their boxes still in the garage.

Our home is quite Christmassy now!

Word #344

      Cat with Laundry
        December 7, 2012

Cats truly do have attentive staff.

Lackadaisical
Cats don't do windows
Never raising their paws
They recline on pillows
And scratch with their claws
With their little stomping feet
Threatening a devilish trick
They demand their treat
And make it quick!
