Word #351

Mourn
My heart breaks for innocence lost.
~~~~~~~
Dark days are ahead until we take responsibility
for raising our children in a safer and saner world.
That is the ultimate gift .
Word #344
      Cat with Laundry
        December 7, 2012
Cats truly do have attentive staff.
Lackadaisical
Cats don't do windows
Never raising their paws
They recline on pillows
And scratch with their claws
With their little stomping feet
Threatening a devilish trick
They demand their treat
And make it quick!
Word #337
Agricultural
I never plan a quilt ahead.
I let my subconcious lead me.
It never fails to surprise me.
Since moving to a rural part of Northern
California I obviously have been influenced
by the multi-colored fields .
What do you see ?
Merry Christmas shopping everyone!
Today we'll go to our local Craft Fair and I hope to do all my shopping there-
Here's to shopping local and supporting your local businesses
instead of corporations that import from China.
That's been my mantra now for about 10 years.
Word #161 and a few more
 Remove
 Recycle
Restored
After purchasing our new home we needed
to immediately remove a lot of the invasive
and flammable Manzanita. Living in a forest
is different from living in the city that's for sure.
 The first photo shows the machine
picking up the Manzanita by the roots, shaking
the dirt off and then putting it in a big pile.
The second photo shows all the removed and shredded
debris being put in a pile for us to use as a mulch
over the removal area.
And the third photo shows a much more safe
and healthy oak forest. Over time the trees will
get bigger and we will be planting some conifers
and indigenous shrubs this fall once the rains come.
